Interesting industrial buildings from several construction epochs
The machine hall for the power plant was built in 1899/1900 by Georg Klingenberg as a red brick building with white plaster fields at the same time as the Siemenssteg pedestrian bridge and opened on 1.8.1900.
The switchboard in the style of the new objectivity was built in 1925.

The Charlottenburg thermal power station (also known as the Charlottenburg power station) is a thermal power station in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district of Berlin. It is located on the so-called Kalowswerder between Am Spreebord and Quedlinburger Straße. The Swedish energy group Vattenfall, whose subsidiary Vattenfall Europe Wärme, which belongs to the German subgroup, is responsible for its operation, has been the owner of the system, which operates on the principle of combined heat and power.
