2.The sculpture was made by Guillermo Steinbrüggen during the first all-German metal sculptors' meeting in Schwerin and was later bought by the city. Because it was rusty and did not correspond to the ideal of beauty of most Schwerin residents, it was removed after a few years and reworked. Since 1996, the "Round Table", now given a metallic coat of paint, has stood on the small square where the Großer Moor and Puschkinstraße merge.

As a symbol of self-determination and liberation of the former GDR citizens, the sculpture "Round Table" was erected in the market square in Schwerin in 1990. The monument made of steel and field stones was created by the artist Guillermo Steinbrüggen from Lübeck.
