The Heilig Kreuz monastery in Donauwörth is a former Benedictine abbey.
The monastery consecrated to the Holy Cross was founded around 1040 by Mangold I von Werd as a Benedictine monastery. The spiritual founding gift was part of the cross of Christ that Mangold received in Constantinople.
