Vandring
From Lyø harbor there is a ferry connection to Faaborg and Avernakø. You can find more information on the timetable, prices and booking at inselfaehre.fmk.dk
There is also a marina with a harbor master's office and various service facilities for the sailors. At the harbor there is a small bay with a good bathing beach.
On the way from the harbor to the village you can see one of the oldest farms on Lyø on the right.
In 2020 there are 81 inhabitants on Lyø.

The island of Lyø was originally populated with convicts, who were given the choice of either heading off to Lyø, but then being free. The island is quite small, so a tour is not only worthwhile to the place "Lyø By" above the harbour. An ice age glacier has deeply carved the island.
