Precipice Walk is one of the most popular walks in southern Snowdonia, located approximately three miles north of Dolgellau. The walk ranges between 220 and 250 meters above sea level and offers panoramic views of the Mawddach River below and beyond towards the northern mountains.
The walk starts at a spacious parking lot and, except for a few places, is relatively flat everywhere. However, the route is somewhat narrow and uneven in places and is not recommended for people with a fear of heights.

The Precipice Walk is a fantastic loop that takes in a variety of habitats and offers great views of Cadair Idris without requiring a hugely sustained walk. There isn't very much ascent but the ridgeline you walk up to feels like you're high up. The walk takes you on a tour of the 12th century Nannau Estate.
