Vandring
Above Osogna stands the chapel of Santa Maria Addolorata, whose origins date back to the 16th century; it was enlarged in 1699 and 1729. The Baroque altar made of carved and gilded wood, with curved columns and a depiction of the Pietà by Franz Josef Kraus (1706) is noteworthy.
The carvings on the paneling were made by Francesco Solari from Verna (1730). The fresco on the left wall of the choir, framed by carvings in the shape of acanthus leaves, shows the votive image of the Pietà in Cannobio.
