The monument to Grand Duke Vytautas was erected in 2010 in one of the oldest settlements of Lithuanian Tatars - in Raižiai (Alytus district). A capsule with a message for future generations containing information about the importance of the Battle of Grunwald, the Grand Dukes Vytautas and the history of the Tatars was embedded under the monument. There are also two sundials in Raižiai. One shows the local time, the other the time of the Battle of Grunwald. The author of the monument is Jonas Jogėla, the author of the sundials is Jonas Navikas (source: alytusinfo.lt/en/sightseeing-places/monument-to-the-grand-duke-vytautas-in-raiziai/) .
