Vandring

Hastings Castle was the first castle to be built by William the Conqueror after invading Britain and winning the battle of Hastings in 1066. There are fantastic views of Hastings from above the castle, which can be reached by foot or by using the West Hill Lift, the steepest funicular railway in the UK.

Unfortunately, the castle was closed when we were upstairs, but we were also kindly notified at the bottom of the elevator. Above, but definitely worth the great view over Hastings and the sea!

The ruins of the castle on the hill from which there is a beautiful panorama of the coast. You can get there on foot or take the elevator.
