You can do a great circular hike with a view of Matala via Kommos Beach.

From here there is a great view of the long Bay of Kommos and the majestic Psiloritis Mountains behind it with the 2,456 meter high Timios Stavros Mountain. If you come in the late afternoon or early evening, you can experience a fantastic sunset over the sea.

The path consists of many small paths rather than a marked hiking trail. Please be careful at the demolition edge - there are no safety devices.
