Tradition has it that in the 6th century the nobleman Saturio from Soria, after the death of his parents, distributed his wealth among the poor and went to live in some caves next to the Duero. There, in a sober and mystical oratory, in honor of Saint Michael the Archangel, he would live for thirty years as a hermit.
