    Vandring

This natural lake, of glacial origin, is revealed to walkers who arrive via the passes. Well sheltered behind its granite barrier, it is impossible to see it from the bottom of the massif.
Over time, the geology of the massif made it possible to dig a basin and create a rocky edge. It is this “glacial lock” which erases Port Bielh Lake from the landscape when you are below.

Apart from a few pines, you will not find much vegetation there. The site is essentially mineral but still offers small lawns suitable for bivouacs.
