The clock tower dates from 1894, a time when not everyone had a wristwatch. Over the years it has become a meeting place for the population.
This is where the Zeil begins, one of the busiest and busiest shopping streets in Germany, but you can't see it at this point.
In 2015 it was restored for €100,000.

The clock tower is a listed building in Frankfurt am Main, which is located on the corner of the Friedberg complex near the zoo.
It is one of only two surviving clock towers in the city, the other being in Bornheim and is the oldest surviving, having been first built in the 19th century. Today the tower serves as a popular tourist attraction, as well as a meeting point for people in the city.
