The battle on the Lechfeld
In the year of the Lord in 955, when the Hungarians were still a wild horsemen who regularly undertook extensive raids, a great battle of arms took place on Bavarian soil, which went down in history as the "Battle on the Lechfeld". Not far from Augsburg this fight is said to have raged. According to more recent findings, however, it could actually have happened elsewhere. - Ulrich Zwack sheds light on the historical background of the murderous struggle one thousand and sixty years ago.
