At this point was the village of Lütsche, which was demolished between 1859 and 1864 on the orders of the Duke of Saxe-Gotha.

A village with an interesting history, because Duke Ernst ll. had the residents finally resettled from 1856 after there were several attempts to help the people out of poverty, to enable them to attend school and there was public support, including with food. In contrast, there must have been a few families who stole wood and poached them, and to a far above-average extent. That is why there were attempts to dissolve the place much earlier. They even wanted to ship it completely to America.

You can no longer see anything of the former village site, but it is a nice resting place before the steep climb to the Lütsche
