Originally the home of a wealthy Arnisser, the legacy ended up in a foundation and the house was donated as a town hall. Incidentally, opening hours: three hours a week. Has to be enough.

Arnis, Germany's smallest town, whose founding dates back to 1666: Detlef von Rumohr demanded the homagial oath from the inhabitants of Kappeln, in which they had to assure him of allegiance and allegiance. 65 families refused and turned to the sovereign, Duke Christian Albrecht of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf, who assigned them the island of Arnis ('Adlernase') in the Schlei, which was still uninhabited at the time.
