Vandring

The approximately 32 km long Kahl rises near the hamlet of Bamberger Mühle in the Spessart and flows into the Main here. Here at the federal state border between Bavaria and Hesse is also the lowest point of Bavaria (102m above sea level).

Vandring

From the mouth of the Kahl, the Degenweg (suitable for hikers and mountain bikers) leads through the area of the former Alzenau district up to the Dr. Kihnplatz near meadows. It was named after the Alzenau district administrator and local poet Heinrich Degen. It touches the boundaries of the communities of Alzenau, Mömbris, Krombach, Hösbach, Sailauf, Sommerkahl, Schöllkrippen and Kleinkahl. It also leads through the community-free areas of Sailaufer Forst, Schöllkrippener Forst and Wiesener Forst.
