Vandring
The Hochwacht stood at the northern end of the Rhinsberg. It belonged to the alarm system of the old Swiss Confederation, which was in operation between the 17th and the end of the 19th century.
From the Rhinsberg signals could be exchanged with the Hochwachten on the Irchel, the Bachtel, the Uetliberg and the Lägern.

The ruins of the Hochwacht, which besides knee-high walls and an information board also has a barbecue area. Interesting where the fortifications were in ancient times in this area.

Not much of the Hochwacht can be seen anymore - but it's still a nice place with an inviting fireplace
