The origins of the Mariahilf chapel belonging to the parish of Balzers are unclear. Structural studies indicate that it was built in the 16th century at the earliest. The current appearance of the chapel is essentially based on structural changes in the first half of the 18th century.
The chapel is extremely popular for wedding celebrations.
