St. Catherine's Church is one of the oldest churches in Gdańsk and is located in the northwestern part of the Old Town, on Rajska Street, opposite the Great Mill. The tower reaches a height of 76 meters to its spire.

St. Catherine's Church (Kościół św. Katarzyny) is the oldest church in the city. It is located diagonally opposite the Great Mill.

The brick building was originally constructed between 1227 and 1239. However, the church was enlarged and remodeled several times in the following centuries. The tomb of the astronomer Johannes Hevelius is also located in the church. The church tower, approximately 76 meters high, rises far above the Old Town.

St. Catherine's Church (Kościół św. Katarzyny), Gdańsk's oldest church, stands opposite the Big Mill. It was founded in 1185, but the current brick building dates from the 14th century. In the main altar there is a painting of the Crucifixion with the city panorama of Gdańsk by Anton Möller (1610), in the chancel there is an epitaph by the astronomer Johannes Hevelius (1779). From the tower of the church, in which a large number of clocks are exhibited, a glockenspiel sounds every hour on the hour with Beethoven's famous ode from the ninth symphony "Freude, schöner Götterfunken".
