A little in the shadow of the popular Alster foothills is its neighboring neighbor to the north, the small oak park in Harvestehude. It lives up to its name and is characterized by beautiful old trees. In addition to numerous oak trees, there is also a beautiful swamp cypress directly on the Alster, whose knee roots extend as far as the willow next door. Between them are waterfowl, especially gray geese, which have long become accustomed to visitors to the park.

Vandring

Friedrich von Hagedorn was a rococo poet from Hamburg. He was just 46 years old.
Hagedorn mainly created fables, songs, teaching poems and epigrams. His work was predominantly of a cheerful nature. In his work, Hagendorn wittily exposed the mendacity of society. With that he basically took over the ideas of early clarification.

One of his more famous pieces is Die Alster, a hymn to the rivers Alster and Elbe, which are important for Hamburg. Hagedorn's father had already published poems by the twelve-year-old during his lifetime.
