On the top of Mount Castello di Givoletto stands this beautiful church with an excellent panoramic view. It can be reached either by car or on foot with the path of the Via Crucis, about half an hour's walk.

In this church or chapel, the Blessed Mother is invoked under the title "Mary, the help of Christians" (Latin: "Sancta Maria, auxilium christianorum"). In the course of church history, but above all of popular piety, innumerable titles have been found for Mary, with which believers have turned to her; see, for example, the so-called "Lauretanian Litany".
With this invocation "Santa Maria Ausiliatrice", the builders of the church certainly wanted to give a widely visible expression of the request for the intercession of the Blessed Mother for the country - and above all for the people living there.
