Vandring
The hamlet of Mankinholes sees more than its fair share of walkers. This is because it is a popular starting point for the hike up Stoodley Pike to its marvellous monument, which towers over the settlement.
It plays host to a YHA-owned youth hostel and the Top Brink Inn, a pub offering great food and superb views. The youth hostel was once a 16th-century manor house and has eight bedrooms, self-catering facilities, a basic store and the usual drying room.
