Esthaler Goldbrunnen got its name, it is also outside of the
Fountain hiking trail and the source was only known to those familiar with the area. About the
Name designation, which is not documented anywhere, there are only guesses.
Forest workers are said to have stored their cognac in the cool water here.
The steadfast Esthal "well renovators" Helmut Weitzel, Albert Kuhn and
Walter Wolf built this forgotten cognac fountain.
