Vandring

The church, which has been a listed building since the period of reconstruction after the Second World War, belongs to the Protestant-Lutheran congregation.

The laying of the cornerstone took place in 1949. Since 2015, there is a modern choir house next to the church.

Vandring

The parish was formed in 1946 from two parish districts of the Holy Spirit parish and one area of the Jakobi parish. After the Second World War and the associated rapid growth of Rostock's population due to refugees and displaced persons, as well as as a result of the destruction of Rostock's Jakobi Church, it became necessary to build a church in the southwest of the city.
