Vandring

This neo-Gothic church was rebuilt in 1882 in place of an older building. The remarkable Saint-Sébastien altar in Rochefort marble was made around 1750 by Guillaume Evrard.

Above the front door, we see a stone relief of the Saint-Martin soldier giving half of his coat to a poor man whose gaze reminds him of Christ.

The confessionals are decorated with remarkable statuettes.

Vandring

Awenne, situated on the slopes between the Lomme and its tributary the Masblette. The area surrounding the village is a true paradise for walkers. The parish church is worth a visit: in the interior you can see a statue of Saint Sebastian – originating from the church of Saint-Hubert. The beautiful wood carvings on the pulpit, confessionals and the Stations of the Cross are also worth admiring. Outside the church door you can see a bas-relief of Saint Martin, patron saint of Awenne.
