The cathedral itself is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture and an important place for Lithuanian culture and history. The bell tower is a symbol of the strength and resilience of the Lithuanian people and has survived many political and cultural changes over the centuries.
Today the bell tower is a popular tourist attraction and offers wonderful views of Vilnius' Old Town. It's worth climbing the steep steps to enjoy the impressive views of the city and its surroundings.
