Park your car at Loop Head Lighthouse and enjoy the panoramic view. On a nice day you can see as far as the Cliffs of Moher. The sight of the rugged cliffs and the Atlantic Ocean crashing incessantly and with great force against the coast here make Loop Head one of the most beautiful places in all of Ireland. Incidentally, the Irish Times saw it the same way in 2013 and named the place the "Best Place to Holiday in Ireland".
Even though Loop Head is remote, it's still worth a visit, if not for that very reason.

A place to stay with a wonderful panorama. The lighthouse located there can be visited. We recommend a walk along the steep coast.

På halvøens yderste spids står det ikoniske Loop Head fyrtårn, omgivet af lodrette klipper på over 60 meters højde. Dette er stedet, hvor den mægtige Shannon-flod endelig munder ud i det utæmmede Atlanterhav. Mens du vandrer ad de svimlende klippestier, er der stor chance for at spotte delfiner, hvaler eller sjældne havfugle. Det hvidkalkede tårn og den vidtstrakte udsigt gør dette til et af de mest dramatiske og fotogene stop på Wild Atlantic Way.
