Spanning 144 acres (58 ha) of tranquil parkland, picturesque lakes and vibrant water meadows, Harrold-Odell Country Park is a wonderful place for a hike. Owned and managed by Bedford Borough Council, facilities include a cafe, toilets and an information centre.
The park is home to its own local nature reserve, which features a wide variety of birds and mammals, including bats, otters and shrews. There's a boardwalk that looks over the Dragonfly Pond and two bird hides that allow you to get closer to the action. The River Great Ouse forms the park's eastern perimeter.
