This area is one of 3 "parts" of the Jewish cemetery, which is distributed in the local area of Schnaittach. It was created in 1834. The oldest part of the cemetery dates from around 1500, the first burial in the third part is documented in 1907.
During the Nazi era, many of the tombstones in the three cemeteries were desecrated.
