    Ford Spijkerboor, open on Sundays in the summer. This fort is part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam, a belt of 45 forts in a large arc around Amsterdam. The position was constructed between 1880 and 1920. Fort Spijkerboor is one of the most modern and has a double barrel gun turret. From there one could shoot up to 10 km. The turret can only be visited during a guided tour (register online!) The fort can also be visited independently on open Sundays (€ 3.50)
