Vandring
The town hall is one of Zeitz's landmarks and was built in the late Gothic style from 1505 to 1509. It acquired its current appearance through reconstruction from 1906 to 1909. Guided tours are available upon request.

From 1726 to 1742, Dr. Friedrich Martin Luther, a great-grandson of Luther, was the "first mayor."
Visible from afar from the north, east, and west, Zeitz's landmark rises from the city skyline. The town hall tower, which was only added with the extension (1905-1909), is 52 meters high. The climb is worthwhile. You get a unique view over the city's rooftops, and on a clear day, you can even see as far as the Battle of the Nations Monument in Leipzig. But it is only one part of the unique town hall complex.
