Vandring
The church was built in 1711 on a hillside in place of an apparently wooden predecessor made of sandstone. Restorations took place in 1953/1954 (outside) and 1987 (inside). The building is a hall church with a choir closed on three sides and a roof tower on the west side with a curved hood and lantern. The pointed arched windows are designed with Gothic fish-bubble tracery. Above the portal, which is crowned with a triangular gable and framed with pilasters, is the colorfully painted coat of arms of Landgrave Carl of Hesse-Kassel (1670–1730) and his wife Amalia.
