The original medieval castle was largely demolished at the beginning of the 19th century. The current castle, which you see in the park today, dates primarily from the 18th century and has a classical, austere style. Vandring
The Castle of Edingen is a castle in the Belgian city of Edingen in the province of Hainaut. The current castle was built in 1913 on the site of the orangery of the former castle. It was designed by architect Alexandre Marcel in Louis XVI style on behalf of François Empain. The castle is surrounded by a park of 182 ha and contains a number of monumental trees. The chapel tower is the only remnant of the medieval castle.
