The Elbe Cycle Route begins at Špindlerův Mlýn (Spindlermühle) in the Giant Mountains in the north of the Czech Republic and ends after 1280 kilometers in Cuxhaven at the mouth of the Elbe into the North Sea. 840 kilometers run on German territory. The route in Germany corresponds to the D-Route 10. The Elbe Cycle Route leads through the federal states of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg.
