A nice addition to the Recker Moor and can be wonderfully integrated into a round.

Admittedly, if you just look at the map, you would think, Mettinger Moor, a few green meadows, well, then over to the Recker Moor circular trail. But then you will be taught better. Small birch forests, wet meadows with blanks and the natural field paths make this moor without moor definitely worth seeing. Here the skylark trills high above the meadows, the cuckoo calls and the lapwing defend their breeding ground against intruders. Far away the curlew's Tirilirili can be heard. Definitely worth seeing.

Very beautiful and impressive even in winter, when the frost has laid its white coat over the landscape.
