The fairy tale meadow in the Lauchagrund invites you to take a trip back to childhood days, where you can admire the Struwwelpeter figures from Heinrich Hoffmann's book of the same name. The doctor from Frankfurt enjoyed our wonderful surroundings and spent many years with his family in Tabarz. So what could be more natural than to erect a worthy monument to him. Made of oak and brightly painted, the hare now shoots at the hunter, Paulinchen plays with the lighter and the dog bites the evil Friederich.

The Frankfurt doctor Heinrich Hoffmann wrote the Struwelpeter for his children. This became known as a bestseller. He lived in Tabarz the summer resort from 1884 to 1894. The community Tabarz honors its famous guest with a lovingly landscaped park.
