With this sculpture, the LPV brings to light what lives in secret.
A work of art symbolizing the fire salamander enriches the Franconian street of sculptures. Under artistic direction, elementary school students were able to give free rein to their creativity and design a fire salamander made of natural materials.

Vandring

The fire salamander is considered a “Bavarian native”. The wooden model that is located here at the foot of the gorge was made by Litzendorf elementary school students.

Vandring

A new information board was recently put up here (as of October 23). In terms of content, it is almost the same as the old board. What's interesting is that the old board shows a photo of a fire salamander on a human hand and the new information board says "Don't touch fire salamanders!" carries. Horrifying information on the topic of “deadly salamander fungus” complements the new information board.
