Vandring

The Walterskirche with the surrounding churchyard wall is the last remaining remnant of the former Waldradeberg settlement. The place was described as a desert as early as 1331. It is questionable whether it was populated again later. The village square was completely desolate in 1579. The old church has been preserved almost up to the height of the eaves in the south and almost up to the top of the gable in the west. Nice little ruin that you can drive past, definitely invites you to a little rest. Over 500 years old

You have to be careful, because nature spreads slowly but steadily in front of and in the church ruins to discover the church. An attached information sign explains the history of the former places and the church here on site. South of the church on a meadow (approx. 20m) there is a well (now closed) where it is said that the church bell of the Walterskirche rests at the bottom of the well.
