In the center of the Duanes de la Mar district rises the sculptural silhouette of the Church of Our Lady of Loreto. It was inaugurated in 1967 on the site of an old chapel from 1914. This church represents the innovation and realization of a time of profound economic and social change. It is one of the most original and interesting religious buildings and represents in itself a magnificent sculpture, an example of contemporary religious architecture.

The Iglesia Nuestra Señora de Loreto was consecrated in 1967. Cement and iron in particular were used in its construction.
The wooden roof, made of red pine wood, represents the keel of a fishing boat. The light that falls under the "ship's ceiling" through the many small windows into the interior is very nice to look at.
The 12 bearers that can be seen outside the church embody the 12 apostles.
The church is open (as of 2022) from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., in summer even until 9:00 p.m.
