In the heart of the Pflaumheim district is the remarkable Catholic Church of St. George and Lucia. The listed church was built in 1914.

Vandring

Today's church had two predecessors in the same place. The first church is documented around 1340 and had its altar under the tower, the second church, built in 1773/74, stretched from the tower towards the present baptistery and the third church now faces west. Church patrons were initially St. George, who was later completely supplanted by St. Luzia. The community still has a bell dedicated to St. Luzia, which was cast in 1440. Pflaumheim has the only church in the diocese that has St. Luzia as its patroness. (Source: History Association of Pflaumheim)
