Rostock Hauptbahnhof is the main station of the Mecklenburg Hanseatic City of Rostock and the largest passenger station in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
It went into operation in 1886 for Lloyd Bahn trains from Berlin via Neustrelitz to Warnemünde with a connection to the ferry to Denmark.
In 1896 he took over most of the city's railway passenger transport.
The station is integrated into the city's local transport system by tram lines, bus lines and the Rostock S-Bahn.
