The nave, triumphal arch, and entrance portal are of Romanesque origin. The original church building still exists today in the form of the nave.
The first church still exists today as a simple building. It has a flat wooden ceiling and no tower.
The church is entered from the north side. On the north wall is a Romanesque portal with a carved inscription naming Plebanus, the parish priest, Heinrich von Lucka, and the year 1347.
