St. Michael's Church was built in the early 1950s and its interior was redesigned around the turn of the millennium. The previous building dates from the middle of the 18th century and was richly decorated with Baroque and Rococo elements. Unfortunately, this church was destroyed in the last days of the war. Some of the stones and the portal were used to build the new church. We can assume that stones from the Weingarten Castle, which was already in ruins, were used to build this previous church.

Vandring

The Catholic Church stands as a mirror image of the older Church in Evengel in the middle of Weingarten (with the tower on the opposite side). It's an exciting sight. In the past there was also a syagogue next to the tower of this church as a continuation. Unfortunately, destructive and intolerant forces have destroyed this triad of religions here.

A church has stood on this site since the 15th century.

In 1895, the previous church had become too small. For this reason, it and three houses on the east side of the church square were demolished to make room for the construction of a new neo-Gothic church. It was ceremoniously inaugurated on October 10, 1899.
