Saint Barbara's Church (Czech: Chrám svaté Barbory) is a Roman Catholic church in Kutná Hora (Bohemia) in the style of a cathedral, and is sometimes referred to as the Cathedral of St Barbara (Czech: Katedrála sv. panny Barbory).[1] It is one of the most famous Gothic churches in central Europe and it is a UNESCO world heritage site. St Barbara is the patron saint of miners (among others), which was highly appropriate for a town whose wealth was based entirely upon its silver mines.

Construction began in 1388, but construction was interrupted several times. As a result of the Hussite Wars, it remained dormant for more than 60 years until 1482. In 1588, work had to be stopped due to lack of money. The construction was completed with a temporary intermediate wall. The final construction phase followed between 1884 and 1905.

The cathedral houses valuable art treasures from various stylistic periods, including an altar by the Master of the Trinity Altar, which was created around 1480, numerous statues and wall paintings as well as an original Gothic choir stall.
