"A calcareous tufa spring is a spring that is fed by calcareous groundwater and is characterized by the precipitation of calcareous sinter in the immediate source area. Plants typical of the location, especially mosses, play a decisive role in the formation of calcareous tuffs."
The tufa streams near Rohrbach continue in the so-called Steinernen Rinne. The whole thing can be viewed via a small circular route that starts at the hiking car park. There is also a spacious children's playground and a water treading pool at the car park.
