Vandring

This heavily overgrown mining dump on the western slope of the Kobelsberg was created during the construction of the Baiertaler tunnel between 1926 and 1930. Unfortunately it consists almost exclusively of unusable rock, but it used to be the site of fossils of limonite (oxidic iron ore) that were completely converted into limonite.

Wiesloch Mining Trail | Station 15 | The heap is strongly overgrown on the western slope of the Kobelsberg. It originated from 11926 to 1930. It used to be a site of fossils of shell limestone that were completely converted into limonite [brown iron stone, mixture of minerals].
