The church has a wooden crucifix, probably 16th century, that used to be placed against the outside wall. M. Van der Linden (1971) designed the ceramic reliefs, depicting Our Lady and Saint Servatius. Apart from a 19th century confessional, the interior of the church dates from around 1970.

Saint Servatius, also known as Saint Servatius, Servatius of Maastricht, Servatius, Sarbatios and Aravatius, is the first historically verifiable bishop in the Netherlands. As an ecclesiastical enclave within the county of Loon, Grootloon was an imperial seigneury, belonging to the chapter of Sint-Servaas in Maastricht, one of the Eleven Banks of Sint-Servaas. The original name of the village was also Niel-Sint-Servaas (Nyel Sancti Servatii). Hence the name of the parish church, Sint-Servatius.
