Since the initial survey around 1840, the district boundaries of the communities of Gimsbach, Theisbergstegen and Rutsweiler meet here in the form of the stone. Until 1972, the boundary stone also marked the district boundary between Kaiserslautern and Kusel, when the community of Gimsbach was still part of the Kaiserslautern district. With the territorial reform, the places were assigned to the Verbandsgemeinden Glan-Münchweiler, Kusel and Altenglan in the above order. In 1988 the original stone was replaced by the new Dreimärker.

Since the original survey around 1840, the boundary stones of the municipalities of Gimsbach, Theisbergstegen, and Rutsweiler have converged here in the form of this stone. Until 1972, the boundary stone also marked the district border between Kaiserslautern and Kusel, when the municipality of Gimsbach still belonged to the Kaiserslautern district. With the administrative reform, the villages were assigned to the collective municipalities of Glan-Münchweiler, Kusel, and Altenglan in the order shown above. In 1988, the original stone was replaced by the new three-marker.

📝 An inconspicuous sign by the path points to a special spot: the Dreieckstein (Triangular Stone). A striking, triangular boulder that seems almost intentionally placed in the middle of nature. Whether a boundary marker, natural monument, or simply a quirk of geology – it stands out and stays in the mind.
