With its narrow alleys and closely spaced houses, Vira offers lively evidence of the history of Gambarogno.

Described as one of the many pearls of Lake Maggiore, Vira Gambarogno has a typical, almost intact village center with historic houses and arcades as well as a labyrinth of alleys. On the facades of the houses there are frescoes that were painted in 1970 on the occasion of the “fresco school” and in winter the beautiful nativity scene exhibition transforms the village on the lake into a magical place.
