Drum is one of the last vestiges of high ground before the Carneddau drop gradually towards the Irish Sea to the north. The views from up here are extensive, with Llwyntmor looking particularly impressive across Llyn Anafon. If you're lucky, you might meet some of the Carneddau's wild ponies while exploring.

Have visited Drum in terrible weather before with no views. However today we were treated to lovely views. The approach can be boggy to this mountain. Nice wind shelter at the top.

Is Drum Summit accessible by public transport?

The provided information does not explicitly detail public transport routes directly to Drum Summit. Given its location in the Carneddau mountains, public transport options might be limited, likely requiring a combination of bus services to nearby villages like Rowen, followed by a significant hike or taxi to a trailhead. Planning ahead is recommended.

Is Drum Summit a family-friendly destination?
